Thank you to everyone who listened to the show tonight and thanks especially to those who called in! The time went so quickly that none of us realized the hour was up until we went to commercial, so I didn't get to plug APPJ's upcoming events about Iraq as we had planned. I am emailing AAPJ's Iraq calendar to Jay Lawrence and hope that he'll mention them in the upcoming weeks, he might even have us back on the show before too long. Kyrsten

Here are the upcoming AAPJ events about Iraq, you can put them on your calendar now:

Monday, September 23rd, 5-6 pm at the northwest corner of Mill and University - we'll resume our AAPJ protest by letting the public know the facts about the impending war in Iraq. Stay tuned for meeting times to create posters and literature for the protest.

October, date, location and time TBA - AAPJ is planning a forum on Iraq, inviting experts such as Danny Mueller, Deedra Abdoud, Janet Olson, and others to speak about sanctions and the upcoming invasion

Emergency Protest - we will meet at 6 pm on the northwest corner of Mill and University on the day that the US invades Iraq to bring immediate attention tothe invasion and voice our resistance to this military aggression.

Not in Our Name - AAPJ decided by consensus to sign on to the NOIN pledge (www.notinourname.net) and is working to get other valley groups to sign on with us as well. We plan to submit our notice of dissent to valley media and policy makers before November, when invasion of Iraq is predicted.
